  31. International Congress on Occupational Health and Safety. Guiding Theme: "Innovations for a Safe and Healthy Business"

e international Congress on Occupational Health and Safety (A+A) is the largest national and international meeting for specialists in the field of safety, health and workplace design.

Over 350 high-ranking experts from the fields of politics and research and the practical field of occupational safety itself will be attending the congress to give talks on current social developments, planned reforms at national and European level and new scientific findings. More than 6,000 congress visitors are expected.

Every second year the „A+A“ takes place in Düsseldorf, Germany. Consisting of four parts - an international trade show, an international congress, a safety meeting point and the A+A-forum – A+A is the largest and most important event in occupational health and safety in Europe. Our main target groups include:

• Safety engineers
• Safety officers, environmental health officers
• Industrial doctors
• Members of work councils
• Labour inspectors
• Industrial psychologists
• Experts in workplace health promotion
• Scientists (ergonomics, industrial medicine, environmental medicine, industrial psychology, safety sciences)

The congress is organised by the German Federal Association for Occupational Safety and Health (Basi, i.e. Bundesarbeitsgemeinschaft für Sicherheit und Gesundheit bei der Arbeit). Basi brings together 76 German institutions dealing with occupational safety and health (e.g. state departments, German Länder authorities, social partners, statutory accident insurance, statutory health insurance, associations for occupational safety and health).

The International lectures series of the congress are organised in co-operation with the International Labour Organisation (ILO), the European Agency (EU-OSHA), and other European and international organisations.
